This immersive 3-hour tour invites you to see the city’s walls come alive with powerful imagery, crafted by talented artists whose works reveal the soul of Mexico.

A Canvas of History

As you walk through bustling neighborhoods, quiet alleys, and enchanting stairways, you’ll encounter murals that depict Mexico’s most pivotal moments—revolutionary struggles, indigenous resilience, and the evolution of society. The bold strokes of color and intricate details serve as visual narratives, celebrating figures like Emiliano Zapata, Frida Kahlo, and Benito Juárez, each captured with striking artistry and symbolic depth. Witness murals that honor ancient civilizations, from the mighty Aztecs, the local wichols, and Coras,  to the mystical Mayans, portraying their legends, architecture, and lasting influence on modern Mexican identity.

Mythology Brought to Life

Mexican mythology is rich with gods, creatures, and sacred rituals. This tour takes you through awe-inspiring depictions of Quetzalcoatl, the feathered serpent deity, and Tezcatlipoca, the god of fate and destiny. You’ll see the eerie yet mesmerizing images of La Llorona—the weeping ghost woman of folklore—and intricate representations of the Day of the Dead, where vibrant skulls and marigolds pay homage to ancestors. These murals merge ancient legends with contemporary interpretations, bridging the past and present through dazzling artistry.

The Pulse of Mexican Culture

Beyond history and mythology, this mural tour immerses you in the everyday life and celebrations of Mexican culture. Dance, music, and traditions spill onto the walls in electrifying compositions—Mariachi bands in full swing, folkloric dancers mid-spin, and vibrant marketplaces teeming with life. You’ll see murals dedicated to indigenous traditions, honoring Nahuatl heritage, artisanal crafts, and the beauty of Mexico’s diverse landscapes. The themes of unity, family, and spirituality shine through in every piece, revealing the heart of the people.

Meet the Artists & Local Perspectives

Your guide will share some insights into the creative process behind these murals, uncovering some techniques, inspirations, and political messages embedded in many pieces. Some murals are collaborative community projects, reflecting the voices and struggles of local residents, while others showcase the personal styles of favored local muralists. Depending on the day, you may even get the chance to meet an artist at work, adding fresh layers of color and meaning to Puerto Vallarta’s ever-evolving mural scene.
