This touring will cover much of the historic tourist zone from the Stadium down to the Romantic Zone.  We will walk just outside the main tourist areas exploring many hidden staircases and alleys not often visited by tourists.  This includes many areas of 5 Decembre, El Centro, Gringo Gulch, Emiliano Zapata, Romantic Zone, 2 cemeteries,  the Mirador, several parks, and three traditional mercados.  It is a moderate but we walk it at a very casual pace and stop often to chat about what we see or experience.  

Restroom opportunities are endless and most cost 10 peso.  Stores and Tiendas are numerous. 

We will conclude the tour at around 1-2:00 PM possibility in the Romantic Zone.

By the end of the tour, you will feel like a seasoned visitor or temporary resident to PV after receiving so much information about the daily lives of people in the areas off the typical tourist areas.

ESSENTIALS


  • Walking difficulty: Intermediate - moderate walk with some dirt paths, broken and cracked sidewalks with often changing elevations and hills and stairs - taking the stairs to the Mirador makes this adventure "Difficult" - but you can choose to sit in a cafe and relax and skip the Mirador.  

  • Meet at 10AM in the Hotel Zone South  (exact location and directions will be in your email confirmation after reserving.)​

  • We conclude the walking adventure around 1-2 PM in Romantic Zone.

  • Wear comfortable walking shoes and have water or other hydration. 

  • Bring a rain umbrella (rainy season June to October) and recommended for hot sunny days for personal shade.  We do not cancel when it rains we celebrate - It is approximately 5 degrees cooler during a rainstorm.  We may consider a cancellation in the event of a hurricane. 

  • In the unlikely event we only have one participant we will NOT cancel.  Our guides do not like to stay home.  

  • Bring Pesos for shopping - many of the smaller merchants do not take cards.  

  • For those not wanting to climb the many (over 100) stairs up to the Mirador (lookout) - you may wait at a cafe near the base and we will collect you on the descent.  But the view is highly recommended.  

  • Price is $49.50 USD per person. Teens (13 to 19) $39.50 USD Children (to 12) $29.50 USD - all teens and children must be accompanied by adults.  

  • Price does not include customary tip for the adventure leader.
