Mexico City's "Zona Rosa" Gay Tour emphasizing Gay Bars

 In this guided walking adventure tour, we will visit and discuss nearly all gay bars and clubs in the "Zona Rosa" as we walk and tour the Zone.   We may even spend some time to dance and even sing karaoke.  

Our guide is usually the singer, songwriter, actor, and reality TV star Alexis Santana.  (https://www.alexissantana.com) Alexis is originally from Puerto Vallarta however has lived many years in Mexico City including a two-year period when he was a daily performer on the #1 daytime TV show in Mexico.  When Alexis is not available due to his filming schedule the tour will be led by one of his fellow performers from the clubs.  

Meet the bartenders, staff, owners, and regulars and by the end of the tour you will have potential friends all over the Zone and know exactly which bars you will wish to revisit that suits your personality. 

We also discuss the restaurant and shopping scene (especially sexy clothes and toys) in the zone as well as cruisy and pick-up locations.   Hotels are also a popular subject of discussion.  

The leader will get everyone started by purchasing the first shot and making the first toast during the adventure.  Guide will provide  2 additional during the tour.  Often other visitors on the tour will purchase rounds of drinks for everyone.  Generosity is infectious and one of the best ways to make friends on the tour.  

For the Gay visitor to Mexico City, this tour should be taken at the very beginning of your trip so you can understand all the options available in Zona Rosa and be able to plan a successful stay in Mexico City taking advantage of all the possibilities this wonderful zone of the city has to offer.  

On this tour, we focus exclusively on the core area of Zona Rosa bounded by Ave. Reforma, Insurgente, Chapultepec, and Florencia.

 ESSENTIALS

• Walking Difficulty: Easy (although be careful of cracked or broken sidewalks, steps)

• Meet at 8:00 PM in the Zona Rosa.  (Exact location and directions will be sent in your confirmation email.) 

• In the unlikely event that we only have one participant for our tour we will NOT cancel.  Our guides do not like to stay home.  

• Tour includes at least 3 free alcohol shots (usually Tequila) and other free food or beverage samples

• Bring Pesos as many establishments are cash only.   

• Price is $49.50 USD pp plus VAT with prepaid reservation or $55 plus VAT payable to the trip leader If space is available. 

•  Price does not include customary tip for the tour leader.  Mexican culture expects 10%-20% for any personal service position such as guide.
